LOCATOR FIXED utilizes a new rigid proprietary LOCATOR insert and housing designed to work seamlessly with existing or newly placed LOCATOR abutments to create a FIXED treatment solution comparable to a screw retained solution. LOCATOR FIXED is only removable by the clinician, not the patient! LOCATOR FIXED prostheses can be seated and removed in seconds, saving valuable chairtime.
LOCATOR Removable overdentures can be converted to a FIXED prosthesis simply by changing the inserts, housings and modifying the prosthesis (the final prosthesis should have reinforcement). No changes to the LOCATOR abutments are needed.
LOCATOR FIXED Insert - Green inserts are used for 4-implant LOCATOR FIXED cases.
LOCATOR FIXED Insert - Blue and Tan inserts are used for 5+ implant cases. The Tan inserts are used in the anterior and posterior positions, and the Blue inserts are used in the mid-arch positions.
All LOCATOR FIXED cases require the use of the new gold LOCATOR FIXED housing.
The silver LOCATOR housings used in removable overdenture cases must be replaced with the gold LOCATOR FIXED housings when upgrading patients to LOCATOR FIXED.
